Remember that you need to have Battlefield 1918 3.0 already installed on your computer (as this is a mod-modification). One final note for Vista users: There seem to be problems with Punkbuster if you play the mod in Windows 98 compability mode, so make sure you don't run the game in Windows 98 compability mode.

The new Inside1918 team came into office just a few days ago and is happy to announce that we finally agreed over a date for this year's 3on3 tournament.
The Inside1918 3on3 Tournament will be on Sunday, 30th November, starting an 5.30 pm CET. Two servers for the event are provided by the DFL-Clan.

The tournament itself will be played Inf-Only. Laming, dolphin diving, bunny hopping...you name it, there are no holds barred.

The battleground will be determined by a vote. The teams may vote for their favourite out of the following maps:
- Langemarck
- VitryClassic
- La Grande Bataille
- Krakau

Every team that is willing to join the tournament must provide the following information with their registration:
1.) The team's name
2.) The team's leader (who is the contact person for the tournament's organizers)
3.) The team members (minimum three players; a team may have substitutes, but players must not belong to more than one team)
4.) The team's map choice (out of the four above)
5.) The team leader's ICQ number.

If you want to join the tournament, send a Private Message via the forum to Regulator until the 20th November 2008.

The tournament mode will be decided later, depending on how many teams registered. Every match has a ticket limit of 100 and a time limit of ten minutes and will be played in two rounds. Substitutions are allowed, however, there must not be more than three members of a team on the server at the same time. Disonnects of a player do not result in time-outs. In this case, a substitue player must join the game.

Do not worry, there are no efforts to lower the realism of Battlefield 1918 to the level of Roland Emmerich's prehistoric movie. This would be impossible anyway, as ice age sextants and bold atlantis theories is just something we could never ever overtop.

Anyway, the number 10,000 has a different meaning to the Inside1918-Team. According to a counter on a big German Battlefield Community, www.bf-games.net, BF1918 Major Release 3 has been downloaded


so far.

We would like to use this opportunity to thank all the people of the community that downloaded the 1.2 GB package. We hope that the download was worthwhile for you, and that you guys still enjoy playing Battlefield 1918.

It is clearly visible that Battlefield 1918 still has many players for a BF1942 mod. This makes the Inside1918-Team proud, because the development of the third major release was not always easy, and certainly brought some of our members to breaking point. Help came from our partner mod Battlegroup42 as well as from some temporary returned Frontline members like Sarek, Julius and Parabellum.

Where wood is chopped, splinters must fall. If you want to know what influence this had on Inside1918, you just have to wait for another Inside news.
