Resumee of the Forgotten Honor Campaign

The Campaign was a big success

The Forgotten Honor Campaign "Hell in the Trenches" has ended a few days ago, and now we want to give you some information about what has happened. The Central Powers won the campaign with
15893 : 3538 Tickets
37 : 15 Rounds and
6 : 2 Battles.
The biggest victory was Round 1 on Amiens won with 804:0 , the closest margin was the french victory on Mont Kemmel with 2:0
The Central Powers have proved to be the better side both in tactics and individual skill and therefore deserved their victory. it was nevertheless an outstanding experience for all players and Inside1918 as we reported from each battle- at least on our German Homepage. But our english reader shall not be left out, we can offer them an interview with the leaders of both teams, Fidelis and Dutchy. They report from their personal experience during the campaign and give an outlook to the next Forgotten Honor Campaign.

to an exciting Cup

On Sunday, December 20th at 1700 CET (till approx. 2200 CET) Inside1918 will host the 2009 Inside 3on3 Cup. To remember the history of this patriarchal event, we shall first of all take a look back on the recent winner of the cup:

There will be only ONE tournament-map that will be voted by the Teams among the following three nominees

- Langemarck
- La Grande Bataille
- Vitry Classic

The exact mode of the cup will be arranged the Friday before the event. There will propably be a group system, maybe a Double- Elimination, depending of the number of teams taking part.

[B]---Tournament Rules---

Players per Team: At least thee members per team, maximum five. Possible Team-Member number four and five are therefore reserve players. Each player can only be registered with one team. After the start of the first match the formations cannot be changed.
Matchdata: Per Match two Rounds with 100 Tickets and 10 Minutes Timelimit each. The tickets of both rounds will be added and are the final result.

Miscellaneous: In the case of a player drop, the match will not be stopped, but a reserve player can connect. Exchanges are allowed at any time. In the case of a server crash, the round will be restarted. Maximum numbers of Teams: 16 ( first come, first served )

While the Forgotten Honor Campaign (You can still sign-up there! ) is still running very successfully and has reached half- time, the Battlefield 1918 Dev- Team was not idle. Today we present you some of the new stuff that will make its way in the upcoming version 3.1:

Airco DH4 UK

Airco DH4 USA

First of all you can see the light bomber Airco DH 4 that was used by British and American Forces during the great war. Created some years ago, our new Member Krätzer has made two very beuautiful Skins for both versions. In total, 1880 planes had been manufactured during the war. With it's speed of 170 kpH, german fighters had difficulties to follow this plane designed by Geoffrey de Havilland

Villar Perosa M 1915

KUK- Rohrgranate

The Villar- Perosa M 1915 was the first Machinepistol of the World, named after the town it was built in. In the beginning not very successful in the defense, it was later used in attacks in the mountain war very effectively. Some soldiers experimented with mounting it on a harness carrier or to the handlebars of a bicycle (called Bersaglieri Ciclisti), but this was impractical.
On the other side, the Austrian Forces are equipped with the "Rohrgranate"

Mendelejews

We show you also two cars: First, the Minerva is a belgian armoured vehicle. After the war in the western front went in the Trenches, some cars were shipped to Russia where they werde used against the Central Powers. In Battlefield 1918, you will find them in the plains of the Eastern Front.
BF 1918 goes Secret Weapons: The Mendelejews Tank was not really built, but the concept was so impressive that we decided to bring it to the mod- with its 170 tons, this tank is hard to take out and will be the Czar of the Battlefield.
